I'm an adventure seeker, and that applies to my career as well as my lifeand my work has taken me to four continents and six countries.
My professional experience has evolved over three decades of working in leadership positions in newspaper publishing, retail, financial services, and government.
My experience includes start-ups as well as highly regulated industries like finance and government in roles of product management, marketing, and communications.
I've led teams ranging from two to twenty and had progressive leadership roles along the way, serving in both client and supplier roles and union and non-union environments.
As a lifelong learner, I've always been interested in expanding my understanding, leading to certificates in marketing, digital communications, solution-focused coaching, online learning, and emotional intelligence.
Since I was a child, volunteering has been part of my life, where I went door-to-door fundraising for charities, selling cookies for girl guides to most recently volunteering in the Philippines for nine months in 2019-20. During the pandemic, I’ve been volunteering with Up With Women, coaching women to support their journey out of poverty.
I've walked 5K's, 10k's, a 15 k and a half-marathon after a severe skiing injury. I love the water and enjoy being on it, whether rowing in a single, a quad, or an eight or sailing at home in Canada or the British Virgin Islands, Tonga, the Grenadines, or Croatia.
At this point in my life; I want to be of service to others who are on the way to discovering their adventures in work and in life.I am an Internationally Accredited Associate Certified Coach (ACC)through the International Coach Federation, Certified Solution Focused Brief Coach through the University of Toronto, Canadian Centre for Solutions Focused Brief Coaching Centre ® and a member of ICF Toronto.I am certified in EQ-I 2.0 + 360 Assessments through MHS Talent Partner Jacinta Hughes & Associates
